I am an educational professional with over 30 years of experience in the field and 15 as a school leader at the highest level, and am passionate about inquiry based learning and the new pedagogies emerging from the latest research across the globe, in particular the idea of developing students as independent and autonomous learners before they enter higher education. I am constantly seeking to transform the educational experience for young people into one where they can become intrinsically motivated to learn and to be curious about knowledge and concepts. I fully believe that education should be dynamic and constantly evolving to prepare the young for the world into which they will soon emerge and giving them the knoeldge, skills and emotional intelligence to thrive as adults. I am experienced in UK and International education including IGCSE, A level and IB, Positive Psychology and Wellbeing in Education programmes which support students to flourish and to support positive mental health. As an accredited Strengths Profile Coach I can offer solutions for individuals ,teams and organisations to increase productivity and educational outcomes. My experience and knowledge in guiding students in decisions about their future career paths and higher education choices supports them to achieve the very best fit of university courses and institutions.
